Discrimination and Sexual Harassment
Any individual who perceives or has actually experienced conduct that may constitute discrimination and/or sexual harassment has the responsibility to ensure that the individual engaging in such conduct is informed that the behavior being demonstrated is offensive and must stop. If this behavior does not cease, the individual has the responsibility of making it known to the institution. The District along with the individual campuses will endeavor to maintain an environment free of what constitutes discrimination and/or sexual harassment as prescribed by State and Federal mandates, as well as District policy. Sexual Assault Prevention
The Coast Community College District recognizes that sexual assault is a serious issue, and will not tolerate acts of sexual assault on district property or at district-sponsored activities. The District will investigate all allegations of sexual assault that occur on District property or at sponsored activities and take appropriate criminal, disciplinary or legal action, with prior consent of the victim.
The Coast Community College District is committed to its students’ safety as a vital ingredient to student learning and success. The District encourages victims of sexual violence to report the crime.
