Golden West College is a NATEF (National Automotive Training Education Foundation) certified school in the area of Automotive Technology.
NATEF maintains strict governance over the number of hours each class is taught, the type and quality of tools we purchase and the curriculum we teach in our classes. Our certification means that we have to teach to a very strict list of lab assignments that match industry requirements. We must also align our lab tasks with the NATEF requirements for the MAST (Master Automobile Service Technology) program. And we must teach to at least 95% of these lab assignments in order to maintain certification status. This certification makes us eligible for sponsorship by automotive manufacturers and provides opportunities to receive manufacturer donations of cars and equipment.
