Welcome to the Fine Arts Department at GWC
The Fine Arts Department at Golden West College offers a complete course of study, including Art History, 2D Design, 3D Design, Ceramics, Drawing, Jewelry, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture. There is also a dedicated Fine Arts Gallery showing student and professional work through out the school year.
Each course offered in the Fine Arts area is designed to enhance the ability of the first time art student and to strengthen the skills of the returning art student. All courses offered in the art area are transferable to State schools and many are also transferable to UC or other schools.
We serve over 1,500 students each semester and strive to give each student the best educational experience possible. Our knowledgeable faculty and staff are dedicated to providing each student with the very best art education possible.
