Academic and Transfer Benefits
You’ll learn through many different teaching approaches—small classes, seminars, colloquia, guest speakers, field trips, tapes, films, plays, computer applications, experiments, group projects, essays, peer critiques, student presentations, community service. You’ll enjoy studying, socializing and attending cultural events with new friends whose spirit matches your own.
In our interdisciplinary Honors Seminar you’ll confront important ideas and study masterpieces from a variety of perspectives. You’ll soon find you read and listen with deeper understanding. You’ll think, speak and write with new potency. And you’ll gain valuable experience from our community service program, enhancing your attractiveness as a transfer student.
When you transfer to a four-year college or university, you’ll have earned recognition as part of a select few, not only by us, but by top institutions. Involvement in our Program means you’ll be given special consideration when transferring to such institutions as UCI, UCLA, UCR, USC, Chapman University, Occidental College and several others.
If you have questions about the program or about whether it is right for you, please feel free to contact Honors Counselor Stephanie Dumont at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 714-892-7711 x51253.
