Paycheck Distribution Information
Personnel may select from the following options to determine how they will receive a paycheck:
Option 1: Sign up for electronic Direct Deposit (download form). Complete the form and mail it to the District Payroll Department in ample time to process the request for electronic delivery, at least 15 days prior to the scheduled payday. Direct deposit forms should be sent to Coast Community College District, Payroll Department, 1370 Adams Avenue, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, or they may also be dropped off in the GWC Personnel Office between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Option 2: Sign up for electronic Direct Deposit via Netcheck with School’s First Federal Credit Union. Employees can sign up online, or stop into a Schools First FCU branch to set up electronic delivery of payroll via Netcheck. Those electing Netcheck Direct Deposit with School’s First FCU will receive payroll deposits at 12:00 a.m. the night prior to payday. Website: www.schoolsfirstfcu.org
Option 3: Have a printed paper paycheck mailed (via U.S. mail) directly to a home address. Employees who do not elect an electronic Direct Deposit option for their payroll distribution, will have their paychecks disbursed in this manner. Paychecks will normally be placed in the U.S mail one day before payday, EXCEPT for paydays that fall on Mondays. If a payday falls on a Monday, paychecks will be placed in the U.S. Mail the Monday morning of payday.
Instructors & Educational Administrators – Payroll checks are issued on the last business day of each month in which they work.
Classified Staff, Confidential Staff, and Classified Managers - Receive paychecks on the 10th and 25th of each month.
Hourly, Student Assistants, and Professional Experts – Receive paychecks on the 10th of each month for which a timecard has been submitted into that payroll cycle (or as defined in the payment agreement terms for the Professional Expert).
Should a payday fall on a weekend or holiday, checks are mailed or deposited the preceding work day. If you receive direct deposit, your pay stub can be viewed online at https://eis.ocde.us/.
For payroll inquiries/concerns or for problems accessing the Employee Information System to view a pay stub, please contact GWC Personnel Services at (714) 895-8100 or the District Payroll Office at (714) 438-4665.
