Bill Hambelton played goalkeeper for a standout defensive team which only allowed 2 goals in the entire 2nd round of conference play. He posted 9 shutouts on the year with a 0.97 goals against average for the year. Bill was voted as Conference Co-MVP, the first for a Men’s Soccer Athlete at GWC. Bill will play next year at Cal State Stanislaus.
David Perez was a freshman player who started as an attacking midfielder and tallied 5 goals and 6 assists on the season. He was named First Team All Conference in his first collegiate season. David will play next year at Cal Poly Pomona where he will study to become an architect.
