Located in beautiful Huntington Beach, California, Golden West is known for its great tradition of softball. The Rustlers compete in the most competitive conference in the state, the Orange Empire Conference, and are consistently in the hunt for a play-off berth each year. The team plays in 3 to 4 tournaments each season, while hosting one of the biggest tournaments in the state each March. Many athletes continue their education and softball endeavors at 4-year colleges and universities.

The team is coached by Suzy Brazney, a 19-time ASA All-American, member of three Pan-American Games teams, one World Championship team and 3 ASA National Championship Teams. She also competed for a spot on both the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Teams. She was a member of the Selection Committee that picked the 2004 Olympic Gold Medal Softball Team.

From 2004-2008 Brazney was a member of the USA softball coaching pool. In 2006-07 she served as an assistant coach for the USA Jr. National team that won Gold medals at the Jr. Pan Am games in Puerto Rico and Gold at the Jr. World Championships in Holland. In 2009 Brazney was the assistant coach for the USA National Team that won the Gold at the Japan Cup in Sendai, Japan. Brazney will be inducted into the ASA Hall of Fame in November 2010.

Come be a part of this great tradition. GO WEST!
