Library Classroom Instruction
Welcome to the new GWC Learning Resources Center opened in Fall 2011. The library instructional classroom is located on the second floor directly across from the entrance to the library in room #251. It seats up to 50 students and has individual computer stations with Internet, Office Suite 2007, all library databases and a networked print station in the library. Library faculty welcome the opportunity to work with GWC faculty who expect their students to use the library for class assignments, projects, and research as well as individual and group study. Librarians tailor the instructional presentation to meet the specific needs of your course assignment including selecting and narrowing a topic, using computer databases and the library catalog, search strategies, critical thinking, locating resources, and correct documentation format. These information literacy skills will help them throughout their college experience and as lifelong learners. To schedule a Librarian Classroom Instruction session please click on this link:
