State regulations regarding enrollment in online classes may limit the availability of those classes to students residing outside of California. Students from states outside of California who are interested in enrolling in purely online coursework at Golden West College should review this website for on-going state-specific guidance prior to enrolling in courses. Students will need to ensure that the laws of their individual states of residence do not prohibit enrollment in online courses at GWC. As of this time, outside of California, only students whose legal residence is in the following states may enroll in fully online coursework at Golden West College:
If you register for online classes at GWC, and you reside in a state not listed above, you may be ineligible to remain in your classes. Please contact the Office for Out-of-State Students for clarification.
Students who wish to register a complaint related to an online class should follow the College complaint process first. This process is found on the GWC Complaint Process Website. Students who reside outside of California while taking GWC online classes may also contact the appropriate agency in their state of residence. State specific contact information is available in the State Authorization Guide.
