Rhonda Bolton, former HB City Council member will share insight on civic engagement and leadership at this lecture and workshop.


Wednesday, February 12We Salute You – Black Veteran’s Event

1 - 2 p.m., LRC room 250

Connect with GWC Veterans and learn about historical Black veterans. Food and refreshments will be provided.


Thursday, February 13 | Love You Poetry Event

11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Forum 1

We’re thrilled to host acclaimed poet Marcus Omari for a campus poetry performance, lecture, and workshop. Food will be available.


Tuesday, February 18 | A Holy Vessel Gallery Exhibition

4 - 6 p.m., Art Gallery

Opening reception for Jasmine McNeal’s “A Holy Vessel: Spiritual Exploration of Black Art” exhibition. This event focuses on the transmutation of spirituality through Black creation. Food and live music.


Wednesday, February 19 | Cooking Good

12 – 1 p.m., Student Union

Join us to learn some history about Soul Food...try some too! We are also going to have a presentation from Basic Needs with a free raffle.


Thursday, February 27 | Outspoken: Comedy from the Soul

We are honored to have the talented and award-winning Black comedian, Sampson McCormick on stage! Come for good laughs and good food.
