Nancy Rangel Fong is a proud graduate of the community college system. It was there she discovered her career passion and path for academic counseling/instruction. Nancy earned her Associate in Arts degree in Sociology from El Camino College in 2001 and transferred to California State University, Long Beach where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She obtained her Master of Social Work with a concentration in Families and Children from the University of Southern California (USC) FIGHT ON!!! Nancy has been involved with Puente since 2008 and with GWC Puente since 2011. This is Nancy's dream career because she loves connecting with students and making a difference in their lives. Lastly, Nancy loves to spend time with her family and friends. She loves her husband, children and furbabies. Everything she has done is because of her family.

Jessica Patapoff is an English instructor and Puente Co-Coordinator at Golden West College. She joined GWC in 2014, and she became part of the Puente familia in 2015. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and her Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from CSULB GO BEACH! Jessica is proud to be a first-generation college student who started her educational career at the community college. Her journey through Grossmont and Santa Monica College inspired her to pursue a teaching career in higher education. She is a published and active poet, as well as an avid traveler. She loves cooking, Halloween, Pit bulls, Italy, a good competition, her students and her family above all. Jessica works closely with many social justice efforts on and off campus to fight against inequality.
