Curriculum Open Lab and Information Session
Presenter: Gary Kirby, Monica Jovanovich, Charissa McCord, and Jerry Balderas Castillo 

Session Description: Does the thought of working in CurricUNET make you nervous? Do you wonder when your program or course will become effective? Do you feel lost when it comes to course articulation? Have no fear, we are here to help! Come to this open lab and information session. 

We will spend the first 15 minutes giving an overview of important curriculum-related updates including articulation, the impact of AB928 (Cal-GETC) and AB1111 (common course numbering and titles), and a timeline of effective terms for courses and programs. The rest of the session will be an open work lab where you can work on your curriculum, get personalized help from us, and learn more about navigating CurricUNET. Bring your laptop or use one of GWC's Chromebooks.

Raising Global Awareness

Session Description: In an effort to increase student awareness of major global issues, including the United Nations 17 Millennial Goals, a group of faculty and student-body representatives are putting together several exciting activities for the campus Earth Day celebration.  These include an essay contest, art contest, STEM presentations, and more.  Please join us to learn about this fun and impactful event and how you and your students can get involved and/or benefit from joining us on Earth Day.

Session Description: Not sure where to start on how to move columns? Let’s talk! Bring your ideas - what has been successful for you and what has not? By coming to this session and through sharing of faculty experiences, find your unique path to salary advancement at GWC. I will present practical information and advice from my experience as an Institute for Professional Development (IPD) committee member, librarian, and someone who has just moved to the 5th column! This session is intended for Full-time faculty who are not yet on the 5th column of the salary schedule. HYFLEX – Introduction to GWC Data Dashboards
Presenters: Jeannette Jaramillo & Uyen Tran 

Session Description: In this session, GWC Research Analysts will go over examples of data dashboards that are available and how to navigate through the different pages and filters available on individual dashboards. A data dashboard is a visual analysis tool which allows for the management of data through graphs, charts and data tables. Furthermore, data dashboards can be drilled down by term, academic year, subject or student groups. GWC Research Dashboards provide at-a-glance snapshots of Key Performance Indicators such as retention, success, completion, and transfer.

Learn how to use the new Pope Tech Accessibility Dashboard to get a high-level view and how to drill down and focus on specific errors or alerts. The tool includes easy to understand explanations and suggestions how to resolve issues.
